Coach Bart Valle
I was born and raised in San Diego California. I am currently active duty US Coast Guard and will be retiring in 2027.
I started jiu jitsu in 2017 in San Diego and the University of Jiu Jitsu under Sensei Xande Ribeiro. When I moved to Murfreesboro with recruiting orders, I found Legion as my new home for jiu jitsu.
I started jiu jitsu with my son Titus. I have a long wrestling background coming from Southern California at a young age. Jiu jitsu has always been something I wanted to transition to and has finally had the time, and “excuse” of a son, to do it.
I love that Legion has given me the opportunity to teach. This has probably been my favorite part of my journey so far. It is one of the greatest feeling watch someone of any age come into class for the first time, do something scary and difficult, and save they loved it and can’t wait to come back. When people come in and realize that they don’t know enough, but take a huge step in fixing that, and then trusting you to get them closer to that unknown goal, it worth it all. I love seeing the confidence grow in kids and adults. I have seen it in my own family in my wife and kids.
